Donna is a former business owner as well as a fundraising and event professional with a focus in charities. In conjunction with her fundraising career, Donna has developed positive, loving and soulful retreats in the mountains. Donna is compassionate and dedicated to helping people with a passion to make a difference in the lives of others. She offers a powerful combination of life experience and professional training.
Donna is also an angel intuitive delivering Angel Card Readings to others in combination with Kundalini Tantric Numerology. These tools are utilized to connect to the Divine and communicate messages from the angelic realm, spirit guides, ancestors and other loving celestial beings. Donna (Tej Dhyan Kaur) is a certified Kundalini Yoga teacher and weaves Kundalini Yoga and Meditation into all of her retreats, workshops and events.
Donna Edwards began her career when she co-created a successful company in Vancouver, British Columbia in which the company won numerous awards for creativity and design from the province of British Columbia, Ministry of Small Business, Tourism and Culture. It was at this time where she participated in volunteer work by teaching and working with a youth group in Burnaby, British Columbia. Donna helped direct and coordinate a fundraising trip with this group to visit an orphanage in Ensenada, Mexico. It was a memorable experience to give back to the orphanage by working to paint their compound, play games and teach them the all Canadian game of hockey. We were able to shine our lights in a very difficult world for many orphans.
After relocating to Calgary, Alberta in 1997, Donna began her journey in the non-profit charity sector that continued for 19 years. Starting as a fundraising assistant to becoming the Director of Development of a successful charity. Donna provided leadership, supervision and direction to a team of people in Fund Development, Events and Community Initiatives. Her experience encompassed all aspects for fundraising including event management, committee management, volunteer management, philanthropy, community engagement, stakeholder relations, annual giving, stewardship, Board of Director management, media relations, scholarship creation and social media and marketing management. She created one of the most successful and prominent gala fundraising events in Calgary raising millions of dollars for the charity. She is a skilled and dedicated fundraising and event professional. Her love and passion to help others is evident in her work. She exemplifies loyalty and dedication and has tremendous gifts and motivation to succeed.
